Student Series Programs give schools the opportunity to extend fundraising to the larger community, involving faculty and administration, school service organizations, community businesses and the students' extended families. Students can sign up to coordinate a Pennies for Patients program at their school. All materials are provided to run a successful campaign and with the help and support of LLS staff your Bnai Mitzvah Project is sure to be a success!
Pasta for Pennies - Olive Garden's Pasta for Pennies is a service learning, character education and philanthropy program that gives students a unique experience making a difference through teamwork-working together to aid thousands of children and adults in the fight against blood cancers like leukemia.
How it Works - Students collect spare change for a three-week period (usually between January and march). Funds are collected in honor of a local student survivor and current patients. Many schools incorporate learning activities, kickoff assemblies or classroom competitions to motivate and energize the school community.
