The Pastolove Family celebrated their daughter Haley’s Bat Mitzvah at Temple Chaverim in Plainview, New York. Selecting a theme came very easy for them due to their daughter’s first name. Check out all their great ideas for “Haley’s Comet” below. We thank them for sharing their special day with Mitzvah Market.
L-R The Pastolove Family: Mom Debra, Bat Mitzvah girl Haley, Dad Howard and sister Ilyssa.
All party photography was done by The Ira Rosen Studio.
The entire family looked great. Both Haley’s Temple suit and navy gown was from Outrageous Boutique. Mitzvah Mom Debra had her dress custom made by Gregory Cicola and sister Ilyssa’s red dress was from The Bridal Suite in Centereach.
Haley’s Temple suit was a dress and jacket and her gown had a big tulle skirt!
The ballroom at Temple Chaverim looks different for every party. In this case, Stefan’s transformed the room using turquoise and other bright colors.

Ellen Futterman from Proper Notice designed Haley’s invitation which was mounted on dark blue glitter paper and featured a bow with sparkle across the top.
In keeping with Haley’s theme, Hasson caterers created the perfect delicious cake.
Haley wanted something special for dessert and something different from her sister Ilyssa’s party a few years ago. Hasson Caterers came up with a cupcake dessert bar which she loved!
Haley’s favor was a bright blue snuggie with her Haley Comet logo designed by Mitzvah Mom Debra’s company Bayard Advertising.

Mitzvah Mom Debra found these light-up “star” necklaces and thought they would make perfect place cards in keeping with her theme.
Each one had a tag attached with the guests name and table number. They looked very cool all lit up and ready for guests
Mitzvah Mom Debra has now successfully planned both of her daughter’s Bat Mitzvahs. She found a great way to keep track of her guests.
“As I received my RSVP’s, I took index cards and wrote their names in the corner and the tally of yes responses. Not only did I always have my total handy, but when it came time to do the table setting, the index cards came in handy!”
Thanks Debra! A great idea.
