Hi all,
We are excited to share with you the Bat Mitzvah Family Spotlight of the Adler Family.
Many of you know Mitzvah Mom Leslie as our guest blogger who penned the humorous column for Mitzvah Market called, “The Trials & Tribulations Of A Mitzvah Mom.”
We also profiled older brother Max, The Adler Bar Mitzvah Family Spotlight when Mitzvah Market first launched!
Sydney’s Bat Mitzvah service and party was celebrated over Memorial Day weekend at Cold Spring Country Club in Cold Spring Harbor, NY. The weather was great and the family was able to take advantage of the beautiful grounds and have their cocktail hour outside. Please continue reading to learn how this party turned out despite the ups and downs of the planning process!

All party photography was done by Jack Katz.
The Adler’s went all white! Mitzvah Mom Leslie found her long jersey dress at Mieka in Woodbury, NY and Sydney found the two dresses she wore at Simply For You in Syosset, NY.
Sydney and her Mom look great in their all white dresses. Sydney wore her dress at Temple Or Elohim for the Havdalah service and through the first half of the party
Midway through her party, Sydney changed into the shorter white dress seen here dancing with her Dad!
The Adler’s selected Cold Spring Country Club for Sydney’s celebration. The kids took a school bus from Temple Or Elohim after the service to this beautiful venue.
Sydney arrives at her party!
The weather cooperated and the cocktail hour was held outside
Cold Spring Country Club has a spacious ballroom and Hi-Tech Party Productions in Plainview did a great job with the decor. Pictures from a photo shoot with Sydney were on display around the room and even on the tables! The also used white and pink lantern balloons across the ceiling.
The kids lounge area set and ready for guests
Three different centerpieces were used on the adult tables with photos of Sydney used as table numbers
Their invitations were done by Darlene Barzilay, who can be reached by email at: notesetc1@verizon.net or by phone at 516-681-4602.
The Adlers used Total Entertainment with Rick Mantovi as their MC for Max’s Bar Mitzvah a few years ago and decided to use him once again. He kept guests dancing throughout the 5 hour party.

Hi-Tech Party Productions used the pictures from Sydney’s photo shoot to create a sign-in book that she can look back on for years and years to come.
Mom Leslie did a great job planning her daughter’s party and had some very nice special touches. She shared a few with Mitzvah Market.
At the last minute, Mitzvah Mom Leslie decided she wanted to surprise Sydney with an entrance video of celebrity call-outs. She found Carl Hartman from Green Cheese Media Group Inc. who created this video in just 4 days. Click here to see the results.
Instead of place cards, Hi-Tech Party Productions created blow-up boards with guests names and table numbers placed at the entrance of the Country Club
Ironically, the night of Sydney’s party was Dad Eric’s five year Anniversary of being cancer-free! A special cake was brought out to mark this special occasion.
Leslie found a terrific alternative to the typical Mitzvah cake. Tiff’s Candy Cakes created their biggest candy cake yet for Syd’s party.
Sydney’s young guests received sweatshirt favors created by And That.
Here Sydney’s friends are modeling their sweatshirt favors. The back said “My future is so bright, I need shades”
Close family friend and artist Jonathan Reisman surprised Sydney with a painting of her as a young child. It was on display at the party for all to see.
Mitzvah Mom Leslie has now successfully planned both her children’s Bar/Bat Mitzvahs. She is one of our experts! Here is her message for all of us Moms in planning mode.
“For ten weeks I told you about the trials and tribulations of planning my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah through my blog posts on MitzvahMarket.com. I shared my anxieties and my hopes and months later I am so happy to tell you Sydney’s milestone and the celebration surrounding the event exceeded my expectations. To all of you Mitzvah planning moms, may the same thing happen to you.”
