The Meyer/Hodge family from Boynton Beach, Florida recently celebrated son Spencer’s Bar Mitzvah with a morning service at Temple Shaarei Shalom in Boynton Beach, Florida. Later that evening a party in his honor was held at the Boca Raton Marriott at Boca Center. The theme centered around Spencer’s love of playing paintball and incorporated many great details and vibrant colors.

Some Advice from Mom Leigh
“Plan, plan, plan. I chose a hotel for the venue so that guests could stay over if they wanted and not worry about driving home the night of the party. I think hosting a Bar Mitzvah in a hotel is an amazing choice when you have out-of-town guests. I would suggest making sure you click with your party planner/decorator. Amber Gilbert from ECP went out of her way to ensure all details were perfect and allowed me to be part of the planning every step of the way. That meant so much to me! Many party planners don’t want to have their customers involved, but I wanted to be and she allowed me to be. I also hired her for the day of the party to help. That made a huge difference so I didn’t need to worry about a single thing. So worth the money! Spencer and I went to a local JDRF event for one of his very best friends and they had a silent auction for different items and services. We bid and won the balloon twisting and a video montage. It worked out so well since I ended up using the company that did the montage for video that day too. I liked the fact that they were generous and gave away services for that event. So we all donated to a great cause and was able to benefit on Spencer’s big day!”
Bar Mitzvah Project
For his Mitzvah Project, Spencer collected and donated money to the Epilepsy Foundation for his Mitzvah Project. Spencer suffered from seizures when he was younger. He hopes that he can help to find a cure of this awful disease.
