The Shumer family celebrated daughter, Ashlynn’s Bat Mitzvah on December 5, 2015, with a Havdalah service followed by a celebration at Temple Tikvah in New Hyde Park, New York.
It was a stylish celebration with close family and friends and without question everyone… partied their ASH’s off!

Party Decor & Special Touches
The tagline "Party Your ASH off!" was a big hit for Ashlynn's celebration!
The back of the bar featured pictures of Ashlynn from a pre-party photo session by Simon Elliot Events
Couches, ottomans, and custom pillows made this the perfect place to lounge around!
Lighter Than Air Events filled the room with a turquoise, purple and white color palette. LED tables lit the room with a warm glow and paper lanterns hanging from above were a great decor accent
There was a large dance floor with light-up risers from Party Harty Entertainment
Alternating tall clear centerpieces included floating votive candles
Ashylnn's pictures and tagline were used on the custom pillows in the kids' lounge area
The sign-in door, with logo by Simon Elliot Events, was the perfect keepsake. It’s back in her bedroom as a daily reminder about her special celebration

There was a candy bar, a station with chocolate-covered fruit and cookies, an ice cream sundae bar and lots of delicious treats such as Devil Dogs, Twinkies, chocolate éclairs and ice cream bars
Mitzvah Project
For her Mitzvah Project, Ashlynn volunteered for Last Hope Animal Shelter where she helps take care of abandoned kittens. She organized a drive for food, toys and office supplies, which the shelter desperately needs in order to survive. Her efforts resulted in a truck load of items that the shelter was most grateful to receive.
