A Lacrosse & Wrestling Themed Bar Mitzvah Celebration

A Lacrosse & Wrestling Themed Bar Mitzvah Celebration

The Feldman family of Charlotte, North Carolina, celebrated their son Jack’s Bar Mitzvah on September 10, 2016, at Temple Beth El in Charlotte, North Carolina. Later that evening there was a reception in his honor at Providence Country Club also in Charlotte. It was an especially great day because it was Jack’s 13th birthday!

Mom, Stephanie Feldman, owner of Cutie Patootie Creations has created and designed for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs for years and was excited to create something special reflecting Jack’s many interests. She came up with an elegant and fun outcome incorporating all of her son’s requests: lacrosse, wrestling, navy blue and neon glow.

Mitzvah Market also featured Jack’s brother Joshua’s Ice Hockey themed Bar Mitzvah which Mom Stephanie creatively designed the invitations, logo, party decor and favors.

Mom to Mom Advice from Stephanie

“This is a day you and your family will remember forever. It’s a day that your child will hold near and dear to his/her heart for the rest of their lives. Enjoy and savor every moment of the planning process and try to not focus or stress over the little details and that every aspect needs to be “perfect.” When I found myself getting stressed out, I had to remind myself that this was not “my day” this was my “son’s day.” The details of the party are important but it was more important that my son felt confident and secure understanding and reading his Torah portions.

 Mitzvah Project

Jack participated in the program Remember Us and celebrated his Bar Mitzvah with a little boy named Lyusik Kandebman who was 9 years old when he was killed in the Holocaust. Jack took this very seriously and it was a very emotional service and speech for him. Jack is a cook and while attending Johnson and Wales summer culinary program in Charlotte,  he cooked meals for families who stay at the Ronald McDonald House while in Charlotte for medical treatment.
