A Turquoise and Purple Inspired Bat Mitzvah in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania

The Hofferman family celebrated their daughter Carly’s Bat Mitzvah. There was a Havdalah service at Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, and afterwards the party moved to the Great American Pub in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.

Carly wanted a turquoise and purple decor palette and that’s what she got! Mom Lisa got creative and designed the centerpieces.

The photographer was Ann Marie Casey Photography and the rest of the vendor directory is listed at the bottom of the spotlight.

Carly’s turquoise ball gown from Party Girl was beautiful and had crystal embellishment throughout.

The Great American Pub has a beautiful ballroom with an old world charm. Mom Lisa along with friend Robyn Carp of Crafty Girl infused many special touches. Carly posed outside the Great American Pub

Using a turquoise and purple palette every table had three different centerpieces which were all handmade! Each table had white tablecloths with dark purple overlays and light purple napkins

At the end of the night, a candy bar was rolled out. It had over 12 different types of candy displayed in large glass jars created by Mom and Dad! The candy bags were Chinese food takeout boxes with a Letter “C” stamped on them

There were so many varieties and all of Carly’s guests enjoyed it

“Carly’s Cookies” was the theme of her Mitzvah project. Carly baked, packaged and labeled over 500 chocolate chip cookies for distribution to recipients of food packages through Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia’s Mitzvah Food Project. The Food Project provides nutritious food and basic staples to hundreds of needy local families each week.

Carly also held a toiletry drive – providing essential toiletries to Mitzvah Food Project recipients. She truly enjoyed delivering packages to those in need.

Some advice from Mom Lisa:
“My advice would be organization.  I had an expandable file folder that contained everything I needed. I divided it by vendor and every piece of correspondence, contract and note went into their slot in the folder. I had my vendors all secured at least a year in advance and I didn’t leave anything for the last minute.  I got to enjoy the last two weeks anticipating the Bat Mitzvah instead of working on the planning.”

The following vendors helped to make Carly’s celebration special. If you give any of them a call, please let them know you read about their services on MitzvahMarket.com.
