Brett went to a 6-week training class at the Chabad Lubavich of West Monmouth County in Manalapan, New Jersey as a part of their MVP Program. He learned about children with disabilities and how he could volunteer to help them. He also had been involved with their annual fundraising “Walk with Friends” in Holmdel, New Jersey in May. His next volunteer assignment will be at a carnival for children with disabilities. These different activities really increased Brett’s awareness of different types of disabilities and children who need extra help to enjoy life.
Some advice from Mom Valerie:
“It’s a lot of planning for 5 hours. No matter how hard you work on every details, there will also be some things that do not happen as you planned. Try to focus on the positive and enjoy every minute of the party.”
