If guests invited to Addy’s Bat Mitzvah didn’t know what she was passionate about before the party, they know now. It’s Tennis! To share Addy’s enthusiasm for the game with her guests, Melisa Imberman at The Event of a Lifetime created an atmosphere inspired by Tennis Paradise, the world-famous hardcourt tournament in Indian Wells, California.
The result was a tennis-themed soiree with a decidedly tropical flavor. Guests were greeted with a festive display announcing the party’s theme. An escort card wall invited guests to find their seat in paradise, and everything was easy to locate thanks to the clever signage.
The lounge featured logo pillows, pink tennis ball tables, and a tropical mural that really set the tone.
At the adult tables, half of which were round with plush linens and half sleek Black lacquer, whimsical centerpieces combined tropical flowers with suspended tennis balls.
Kids enjoyed mocktails served at their own Tennis themed bar, with the party’s theme spelled out in blue letters on a display of pink racquets.
The fun continued from there, with the focal point being a customized Tennis court dance floor, which was a good way for guests to know if they were “in ” or “out” as DJ Chris spun smash hits.
Other entertainment included a live photo op just like at Tennis Paradise in California complete with a Tennis ball topiary where guests could create their memories using props such as giant Tennis racquets, the Paradise Glam Shop and of course Table Tennis.
The Event of a Lifetime totally transformed a country club’s dining room into Tennis Paradise, just look at the remarkable transition.
Dance floor giveaways included T-shirts, beanies, trucker hats, and PJ pants. On their way out, the kids received a backpack with a customized sweatshirt. All guests visited the Paradise Donut Shop before they left and went home with Addy’s favorite treat donut holes.
The planner and crew at The Event of a Lifetime made sure that at the end of the day, guests had a ball, and everyone knew that Addy’s passion is for Tennis. Hopefully, one day, they’ll be able to see her serve aces at Indian Wells.
