Final Four Bar Mitzvah Themed Celebration

Plan-it Vicki a special events company in Avon, Connecticut, recently created a Bar Mitzvah celebration for a huge basketball fan who was having his Bar Mitzvah during the weekend of the Final Four college basketball tournament.

Owner Vicki Ross worked with the family on all of the winning details. The party was held at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame located in Springfield, Massachusetts, and they had the game live-streamed during the celebration to make all the guests, including the Bar Mitzvah boy, happy!

The highlight of the evening was a special surprise video featuring the guest of honor’s friends and various ESPN personalities!

Entrance signage welcoming and directing guests to Will Call

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame has an actual Will Call booth area that was used for guests to receive their tickets (place cards)

Signage directed guests to the proper window and then proceeded to their table, which corresponded to a team in the Sweet 16

The sign-in board had photos of the Bar Mitzvah boy in basketball gear surrounding the tournament bracket with plenty of white space for guests to sign-in

Each table showed its school spirit with a college pennant

The pennants were placed in a vase that glowed and basketball confetti was scattered on the tables

Zac’s Final Four logo looked great on the menus. The food was catered by Max Catering

There were cute mini converse-like ankle socks to wear when the guests' feet got tired from dancing. These were placed in a miniature navy locker matching the theme

As Zac's friends left the party they were given a t-shirt with Zac’s special logo on the back. Custom name tags made it easy to ensure the right size went home with the right guest!

The highlight of the evening was a special video that surprised the Bar Mitzvah boy and all the guests. It featured various ESPN personalities chronicling a fictitious bidding war between various college teams for Zac’s basketball services. The “SportsCenter” anchors were two of Zac’s closest friends since preschool.
