Melisa Imberman of The Event Of A Lifetime, Inc. coordinated a beach themed Bat Mitzvah recently at the beautiful Shenorock Shore Club in Rye, New York. The venue overlooks the Long Island Sound making it the perfect location for a beach-themed Bat Mitzvah. The colors seafoam and coral were the perfect palette and Melisa designed everything “beachy” around that!
The photographer was Chad David Kraus Photography.
Beach Themed Place Cards/Logo/Sign-In
Starfish place cards were set in sand with shells and driftwood
Names and table numbers were attached
The logo was sunglasses with the Bat Mitzvah girl's initials below and "Em Ban" in the corner, just like Ray Bans. Here the logo on a canvas board for guests to sign-in and write a special note to Bat Mitzvah girl Emma
Beach Cocktail Hour & Food
Adults were invited onto the deck for the cocktail hour. They enjoyed music from a steel drummer and "beachy" hors d'oeuvres like mini lobster rolls and crab cakes
The BBQ dinner was also outside where guests enjoyed delicious swordfish and pineapple kebabs, chicken and peach kebabs, steak and of course hamburgers and hot dogs! Sides such as Roasted Corn Salad, Brussels Sprouts, and Cole Slaw were on the tables and served family style
Beach Decor
Bat Mitzvah girl Emma and her mom seeing the room for the first time
The kids' room looked festive with the gobo on the wall and the illuminated paper lanterns that were suspended from the ceiling
There were fun signature drinks on the kids' bar like Blue Crush and Emma’s Sunset Beach, which matched the party colors
The couch in the teen lounge with seafoam and coral logo'd pillows and ottoman
Adirondack chairs with beach umbrellas in the kids' lounge
The custom-made whitewashed bar for the adults
On the adult tables were seafoam linens with coral napkins wrapped in twine. White and coral floral arrangements along with white lanterns, candles, rocks, and driftwood shells completed the look
Bat Mitzvah Special Touches
The invitation and kippot in the party color palette
The candle lighting display was created to look like it could have been found on the beach. The table had driftwood, shells and rocks
Pictures from the Bat Mitzvah photo shoot in distressed seafoam frames were placed on tables around the room
The drink menu was in a distressed seafoam Adirondack picture frame chair for the adult bar
Logo'd table votive candles
Entertainment Fun
Guests got to test their surfing and balance skills on Surfs Up, a huge inflatable wave with a mechanical surfboard. Emma got the hang of it!
Dance floor giveaways included logo'd sun visors, tank tops, and earbuds in a logo'd case
Custom selfie booth props that complemented the beach theme
Mitzvah Exit and Favors
Emma's guests received a logo'd beach bag and towel
The Exit Treat included S'mores on the beach and Emma's favorite drink with a logo'd Koozie to keep it cold
We thank Melisa Imberman for sharing this great Bat Mitzvah celebration with our readers.
