The McCray family of Wayland, Massachusetts, celebrated Carter’s Bar Mitzvah on April 2, 2016, at the Weston Golf Club in Weston, Massachusetts.
When Carter’s mother, Melissa McCray, asked Karen Philip and Carolyn Snider, owners of p.s. designs in Boston, to design a glow-in-the-dark Bar Mitzvah, they could not have been more excited. They knew they would use black lights and decor that actually glows in the black light. In addition, anything white, including teeth and eyes, would glow as well.
First, they came up with a fun logo for the night – Carter – The After Party. Then they designed two rooms of glowing decor at the Weston Golf Club. Since the adults had to be seated in a separate room from the kids, they used glow tables and beautiful flowers designed by Sarah’s Garden of Newton to incorporate the glow theme in a more sophisticated way.
Servidone Studios Photography was the photographer.
