How to Create a “Winning” Bar Mitzvah Design with Color & Logos

Melisa Imberman owner of the NY-based event planning firm, The Event of a Lifetime, Inc., always focuses on how she can customize and personalize each Bar and Bat Mitzvah she produces. For David’s celebration  her inspiration came from the invitation, the Bar Mitzvah boy’s favorite colors (orange and grey) and a catch phrase that resonated with him — Win the Day. From there, she created several complimentary logos and taglines and utilized them throughout the venue, Slate NY in New York City. Plasma screens, an Acrylic sign-in board, party favors and dance floor giveaways all featured David’s winning logo.

David's invitation, by Small Fry Press, featured the grey and orange color palette and sports stripes that would be visible throughout the event

In addition to the games provided by the venue, Imberman brought in a selfie booth & a state of the art Virtual Reality Pod

In memory of his grandfather, who would give his grandchildren $2 bills for special occasions, David doled out $2 bills to his friends

Favors were reversible sweatshirts with David's logo printed on both sides and his tagline on the sleeve. They were packaged in orange drawstring backpacks

Branded dance floor giveaways included blankets, beanies, sweatbands and this phone/tablet sticker

An Acrylic sign in board will preserve well wishes for years to come

The logo also wrapped around glass cylinders for the candle lighting

For a sweet exit treat, The Event of a Lifetime brought in a mini donut maker...

... with made to order gourmet flavors including s'mores and apple pie
