Margaret Fox was the photographer.

Here’s Rebecca’s reaction seeing her party room for the first time!

This celebration took place at the Elmwood Country Club in White Plains, NY

Decor was a collaboration between Melisa and X-Quisite Events

United Floral Events fuses creativity and innovation to build living works of art for the most discerning clients. They are always out on top with the newest ideas in the industry.
When you work with them, each client deals directly with Charles, their lead designer, from start to finish no matter how small or large the event.
Recently, Charles has been designing Bar Bat Mitzvah celebrations without flowers.
Below are a variety of different out-of-the box centerpiece ideas designed by Charles:

This centerpiece included industrial towers with grass and trendy sneakers

Check out this look using Nike Foamposites!

They incorporate touches of flowers with their custom style props in a clean fashion

They offer many different style candle stands, lamps, faux flower balls, glass containers, faux stems, metal test tube stands, air vent containers and Ralph Lauren inspired props

Here’s a new trend which gives you a night club look. Silver drum shade lamps with white rose hedges at the base were used along with a stainless steel bar with a graffiti backdrop. To finish the look, 15 foot palm trees are around the room

Their trendy tall candle stands speak for themselves

Different sized vessels with floating candles

A pewter stand with suspended test tubes – with a line of votive candles

This look features a large oversized square vase with wheat grass submerged in glass
They also offer the newest lounge décor furniture in various styles and in many different colors. They can provide you with studded, plain or antique furniture in leather, suede, velvet, and various other different fabrics. Of course for anyone looking for light up lounge décor, they can accommodate your requests right from their warehouse. They can provide light up, stainless steel or mahogany bars, with stools to match. AND they offer much more…just ask and they will do their best to fulfill your vision!
Their new 2,000 square foot showroom is filled with lots of “out of the box” ideas.

Sarah Merians Photography & Video Company has grown into so much more than simply snapping a photo. The “&” in their name represents the company they are today.
They want to be in their clients’ lives for a lifetime, as opposed to just one event. This special relationship they foster with all of their clients, in addition to the wide range of products they create and services they offer, is what sets them apart.
With 28 years of experience, they have seen it all! They know there are so many wonderful elements that make up your child’s Bar Bat Mitzvah. Families have fun planning the party, the theme and room décor, but one of the most important parts of the Bar Bat Mitzvah is the religious component for your child at their service.
Watching with pride as your son or daughter recites their Torah and Haftorah portions on the bimah is what it’s really all about.
Sarah and her team have taken the time to capture and document special Bar Bat Mitzvah props. Everything from yarmulkes to Yads (Torah pointers) and tallit.
We hope this gallery of religious Mitzvah props gives you some ideas on how to create your own unique family traditions. To see more click here.

They know that some of their clients purchase these gifts in Israel while on a family vacation and others have items needle pointed by family members

Some are handed down from generation to generation and some are the start of a new family tradition

There are also Temples in New York that have their students make their own Yads as part of the Hebrew School curriculum

Nancy Swiezy Events is a full service event planning, floral and consulting company. With a 20-year background in the special event industry, her goal is to create a unique experience for you and your guests by incorporating the most current design trends.
Nancy recently created a terrific concept for a sign-in chair!
She worked with Adaptive Design Association (ADA), an organization that designs custom furniture for children with disabilities and teaches others how to construct adaptions.

For a $300 donation, this custom made chair arrives primed and painted (many colors are available) and ready to be decorated by you and your guests. Marketing materials about ADA are available so your guests can learn about your ADA Kids For Kids Mitzvah Project.

This “chair” is made from strong cardboard and can be shellacked after your event to preserve the messages.

To order your chair, visit www.AdaptiveDesign.Org or you can reach them via email at info@adaptivedesign.org or by calling

About Adaptive Design Association (ADA)
Their mission is to ensure that children with “disabilities” receive the customized adaptations they need to achieve their full developmental, social, and academic potential. They do this by building child-specific adaptations in a model workshop in New York City; developing and testing curricula for a wide range of learners (from classmates to therapists to engineers); and creating guidelines, techniques, and devices that can be replicated in Adaptive Design Centers all over the world.

Who better to find the latest and greatest for all things Bar Bat Mitzvahs than our own Mitzvah Moms!
We have spotlighted over 200 families and we thought it would be fun to call out some of the “Mom Finds” that you might have missed.
The Mandell family celebrated their daughter Remi’s Bat Mitzvah with a “Hotel Remi” theme. They chose this theme because they love to take vacations as a way to reconnect and enjoy some alone time. Since Remi’s celebration was going to be one of the last for her grade, they tried to incorporate new and unique ideas to keep the young guests interested.

The kids’ drinks were adorned with neon “Remi” crazy straws from Krazystraws.com

Mini rolling suitcases from FavorsAndFlowers.com were at each place setting and were filled with pink M&M’s, available in October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Vivian Ruth celebrated her Bat Mitzvah on September 8, 2012, with a “Candy Extravaganza.”
The theme was selected because her name so closely resembles “Baby Ruth,” and it became the inspiration for their theme.
Mitzvah Mom Sandra is the Art teacher at Golda Och Academy in West Orange, New Jersey. When their theme was decided upon, she became filled with lots of ideas for the centerpieces, sign-in boards, t-shirts, candy bar and more!
You will be amazed at her creations! If you are interested in having her create these for your next event, contact Michael Schindler from LSNY Events at 201-475-5769.
Check out all the centerpieces below:
