About Love Letters For Literary:

Join our 14,500+ volunteers from all 50 states and 26 countries to have fun making a difference! This is the perfect mitzvah project (especially during COVID-19)- relax with a fun art-and-crafts project by volunteering alone, with your family, or in groups (via Zoom or observing local regulations while socially-distanced/masked). We have student volunteers from approximately 400 high schools and college campuses. As a volunteer you will create a three-part early literacy packets including alphabet flashcards, a personal note, and a list of educational games that we provide to you.

Too many children entering school do not know their letters of the alphabet and start their education already years behind their peers in more affluent schools. Parents need resources to help prepare their children to be ready for kindergarten. Being literate impacts a child’s psychological well-being, academic performance, and ability to succeed in life. Kids who start out ahead, stay ahead; the kids who start out behind, stay behind. This disparity in learning is referred to as the achievement gap. Love Letters packets make a difference. We help to close this achievement gap and give children the best start in life.
